Construction Survey
A construction survey is basically a type of engineering survey that presents locations and marks for construction activities.
It is carried out to ensure accuracy of engineering and construction works. Measurements are done for reference points and markers which determine the location of the planned structures or improvements, vertical and horizontal positioning, dimensions, configuration, and to control the elevation of the new structures. Particular attention is made to ensure the building does not encroach or overlap into or over the designated building setbacks or land boundary.
Typically, construction survey involves the setting out of foundation or piling points, transferring horizontal and vertical control points on to multi-level buildings, setting out the alignment of road or utility.
